Our story
Graduating from Fordham University's mental health program transformed both my life and the way I approach relationships, ministry, work, and everyday challenges. It gave me a deeper understanding of the struggles people often carry—especially when they do not fully understand why they react a certain way, feel overwhelmed by circumstances, or live with ongoing depression and anxiety.
Through this education, I came to see how emotional pain can affect not only an individual, but also the people they love. I learned that many conflicts and relationship difficulties are rooted in unhealed wounds, unmet needs, and experiences from the past. This knowledge changed the way I think, communicate, and respond to conflict—with greater compassion, patience, and understanding.
I believe that people in our community deserve access to education, support, and a safe place to feel seen and accompanied. Everyone deserves the opportunity to better understand themselves, strengthen their relationships, and learn healthy ways to navigate life's challenges.
This vision inspired the name Healings Foundation. As human beings, we all need healing from past wounds so that we can grow, face reality with strength, and build healthier relationships. Through education, guidance, and compassionate support, we can learn how to manage emotions, communicate more effectively, and avoid causing or carrying unnecessary hurt.
